Welcome to the Online Abstract Submission Form for EMDRAA Conference 2026. Thank you for your interest in presenting. The contribution of presenters is critical and we value your input greatly.
Please take a moment to follow the instructions carefully, as the submission process differs from past years.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Note: It is recommended that you read these instructions and use them as a handy guide to submitting an abstract.
All abstracts submitted for the EMDRAA Sydney Conference 2025 must follow these guidelines.

Submit abstracts electronically via the conference website by the closing date.

Late submissions or abstracts sent via email will not be considered.

Abstracts must be written in English.

Abstracts should not exceed 250 words (excluding citations).

Use a brief, attractive title.

The subject of the presentation must be clearly defined.

The subject must align with the EMDRAA 2026 Conference theme: "Transforming Trauma: 35 Years of Practice, Science and Innovation."

Explore how EMDR can be used to treat conditions beyond single-event traumas and PTSD.

Incorporate the use of EMDR therapy across diverse populations, addressing unique needs and cultural considerations to enhance inclusivity and effectiveness in mental health treatment.

Abstracts should be applicable to the clinical practice of a wide range of EMDRAA members.

Abstracts should support EMDRAA’s mission: To be the leading Australian authority on best practice EMDR therapy, supporting mental health practitioners.

Use abbreviations only for common terms. For uncommon terms, write the full term first, followed by the abbreviation in brackets.

Declare any conflicts of interest.

Failure to disclose may result in withdrawal of acceptance.

Amendments after the submission closing date are not guaranteed.

Acceptance, timing, and presentation format are at the discretion of the organising committees.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The submitting author of an abstract will ALWAYS receive email confirmation of receipt of the abstract into the submission site. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours it may mean the abstract has not been received. In this circumstance, please email (conference@emdraa.org) to determine why an email confirmation has not been received.
- Presenting authors must register for the 2026 Conference and are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and registration costs. A discounted registration fee will be offered to accepted presenters.
- Bullying, harassment, and inappropriate racial, gender or sexual comment is not acceptable at the EMDRAA Conference 2026.
